India 221/7 (20 overs) · Afghanistan 94 all out (14.1 overs)
Result: India won by 127 runs · Series: India won 3–0
Afghanistan chose to bowl first, but Abhishek took control of the innings. The India opener reached his hundred in 30 balls and finished with 108 off 34, hitting nine fours and 11 sixes. His assault gave India the foundation for a total of 221/7.
Abhishek sets the pace
Abhishek’s hundred was the fastest by an Indian in men’s T20 internationals. He reached the milestone within the first 10 overs, leaving Afghanistan to contain India’s innings after much of the damage had already been done.
Sanju Samson contributed 50 off 35 balls, while captain Shreyas Iyer made 29. India lost wickets later in the innings, but Abhishek’s 108 accounted for nearly half of their final total.
Afghanistan’s chase unravels
Chasing 222, Afghanistan needed a strong opening partnership. Instead, wickets fell regularly. Captain Ibrahim Zadran top-scored with 25, while Azmatullah Omarzai made 17. The innings ended at 94 in the 15th over.
Ravi Bishnoi and Nitish Kumar Reddy took three wickets each. Axar Patel claimed two, while Bumrah and Yash Thakur took one apiece. Reddy finished with figures of 3/25 from four overs; Bishnoi returned 3/26 from 3.1 overs.
What the result means
India entered the final match with the series already secured and completed a clean sweep. Abhishek was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series after the standout batting performance of the finale.
For Afghanistan, the heavy defeat highlighted the difficulty of chasing a large target after losing wickets in quick succession. Captain Ibrahim Zadran said after the match that his side needs more opportunities against stronger opponents to improve.
