Tamil Nadu’s post-election political drama intensified on Wednesday after the AIADMK officially ruled out extending support to actor-turned-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) to form the next government in the state.
The development comes amid intense political negotiations after the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections produced a fractured verdict, with Vijay’s TVK emerging as the single-largest party but falling short of the majority mark.
TVK Short of Majority

Senior AIADMK leaders reportedly held multiple meetings in Chennai to discuss the rapidly changing political situation in the state.
Can DMK and AIADMK Come Together?
